How do we get started with Asset Engine?
Simply get in touch with us and we can walk you through the process. However, the main thing is you can start from scratch with no existing asset management software or expertise and be up and running very quickly. We can give you a tour of the platform and show you how to use all the key features and once you decide to subscribe we’ll arrange login details and a quick training session. We’ll stick with you after that to make sure you have all the support you need on your journey!
What Assets can we manage on the platform
The base subscription will give you access to our “Structures” model which starts with the most complex and high risk assets in your portfolio, such as bridges, culverts, jetties, walkways and look outs and we can work with you to create entries for other bespoke structures.
What sort of data can we put into Asset Engine
The best way to start with Asset Engine is simply by using it and inputting the most recent data, building a live version of your portfolio as you go. However, we can help by creating basic asset entries for you and even assist with developing more comprehensive entries from a variety of data sources. It’s also possible to simply attach historical records and documents in several formats to the asset details page.
What level of training and expertise is required to use the platform?
Anyone can learn how to use the platform quickly thanks to its intuitive design and functionality. We will provide an initial training session to run through the functionality with your team and can do the same with external contractors so they can start using it too. After that you can access online training and trouble shooting guides 24/7.

At Asset Engine we have developed a pricing model based on revenue levels that allows LGAs with small populations but vast areas to still access our solution affordably. Knowing government agencies can be time poor we also offer services to assist with set up and data migration which will be priced individually, on request and based on the amount of data and work involved. Extra options available are:

It absolutely will save you money, it’s just a matter of how much. Asset Engine is a cloud native application, securely hosted within Australian data centres. Our objectives are to ensure that we comply with all principles and regulation of government technology requirements. We seek to ensure that full transparency of costs and the ability to create a more flexible, connected and agile public sector.
What is the process if we want to cancel our subscription?
Cancellation is simple and we will make the process clear and quick. At the end of your subscription period we will provide a copy of your core asset data and allow you 3 months to save any key documents you need from the platform. After that we can securely archive your data or delete it entirely based on your preference.
How will Asset Engine integrate with other platforms or software we use?
Asset Engine is built on Microsoft Azure API which makes it incredibly compatible with numerous other platform using this popular framework. Exporting data into other platforms for thigs like tendering or finance system integration is also straight forward.
What support is available to us once we are subscribed?
There will be initial training available which we can arrange in person at your premises or virtually. You can then access a series of training modules covering all areas of Asset Engine functionality. Beyond that we will have on hand technical and customer services support during WST business hours where you can reach out by phone or email so we can assist.
